Looks like it could be good fun, the casters look less fragile than in DAoC.

Gromril crossing - Better quality than last vids, not a special scenario but you can see things a bit clearer. This one is domination style.

Image

Altdorf City Siege - This is the culmination of RvR for Destr, the equivalent of relic raids. Took just a very small section of one of the public RvR quests in the city before the framerate from Fraps annoyed me and i turned it off.

Is it just me, or do the mounts look a little shit and a little too much like Barney the dinosaur?

Chaos get black horses, Dwarfs get Gyrocopters!!!!, High Elves get white horses I think and not sure what Empire get off hand.

Trying to get a few more videos done before Beta ends, got a small bit of black orc action and a keep siege with zealot. Nothing special cause i suck with Black Orc and zealot is pretty boring to watch but fun to play. Will post shortly with them both.

Any requests for videos I'd be happy to fulfill.

Black Orc Fun to play tbh, hadn't tried one before today, they get Grapple and a purge ability to make them pretty handy plus tons and tons of HP and quite a few armor debuffs and short self buffs for strength, toughness, resists etc

Image

Zealot I do like zealot they are probably imo the best healer for Destruction. Though far too many zealots in beta are killspam hungry and never heal or rez which winds me up, I think because they are on "Destruction" they feel that is what they should be doing. This keep siege was earlier today and took a long time, so this is just a small section so you can see a typical keep.

Shaman - Maw of Madness Scenario

Scenario is murderball, teams must grab the talisman and keep hold of it as long as possible. Team with talisman scores faster, holder of talisman suffers damage over time as well as being a major focus of enemy assaults :D

dammit, I want to play.

My new computer'll be finished (as in "I get my ass into gear and put it together") sometime next week. Then it's just a month away.

I'd thought myself immune to hype and whatnot, but it really does look like a lot of fun.

Tbh more Vids i see of it, the more i think this should be good, but i always feel the Gfx are too cartoony and not dark enough.
Shame they dont have a more mark of chaos feel.

Yeah, just finished my new one - parts should arrive sometime tomorrow or wednesday:

CHIEFTEC MESH BIGTOWER BLACK/SILVER 400W
CORSAIR TX 750W PSU ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V
ASUS P5N-E SLI 650I SOCKET 775 FW GBLAN ATX (somewhat budget, isn't it?)
SAMSUNG SPINPOINT 250GB SATA/300 7200RPM 8MB (system disk until I can replace with a 10,000RPM one.
INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHZ 8MB 1066MHZ S-77
DELL 1908WFP ULTRASHARP 19# TFT TCO-99 BLACK (need another monitor - I won't ditch my old computer)
ASUS GEFORCE 8800GTS 512MB PCI-E

Should do the job, I hope? Any of the beta testers got anything to say? I can still change the graphics card for a better one. I've already got the memory (2GB to start with, and another 2GB when I feel the need for it).

Exchange the videocard for something more recent, the 8800GTS (are there still shops that actually sell that heap o' junk :o )is like 18 months old.

Nice "budget" card would be a Geforce 9800 GTX or GT if your determined to get an nVidia card.

At the moment the Radeon HD4850 has the best price/performance ratio. It beats the 9800 GTX(+) hands down and even outperforms the 9800 GX2 on some points. There's also the HD4870 but that would break the €200 mark.

At the moment ATi is the best midrange card to get.

Geforce 9800GTX+ it is then ;)

There's a nice XFX 9800 GTX+ for around €180. If you can spare a bit more you could get a Asus GTX260 for €250.

Dunno, budget's not really limited, but I do want to save where I can - best solution would be to get best performance for best money, so that rules out the extremely new cards, I suppose.

Radeon HD4850/4870 :P

Otherwise go for the nVidida 9800 GTX+, decent card that would keep you under €200.

20 minute vid of some RvR action from the preview weekend.

Are the ATI cards you mentioned better than the GTX280 cards Kuifje?

Nope, the GTX280 is the best thing you can get at the moment.

Best bet would be to get the 1gb version as well.

Not sure if 1 Geforce GTX280 outperforms 2 Radeon HD4870's in a crossfire setup tho. Both would cost about the same amount of money.

I'd stick with a 1 gfx card setup tho, never heard good things about SLi or Crossfire.

Must admit SLI etc seems more fucking hassle than it's worth, if it works then yippee but when it doesn't then it's a world of shit.

Im on two 3870x2s in CrossfireX and tbh they're >>>>> than any gf9 series including the gx2 and I reckon they would give the gtx260 a run for its money. I'm guessing two 4870x2 in crossfire would absolutely steam even the gtx280 (although obviously costing a bit more)

I've had much better performance increases from crossfireX than I had from SLI on the 8800gts

I think SLI/Crossfire really come into their own at higher resolution and AA/AF. I try to run all at 1920x1080 with 16xaa/af (Crysis still complains at this :'( )
