I've not even received mine from EA yet, just got off the phone to them after being passed through some US call centre to some UK/Indian one only to be told they underestimated demand and have to regenerate headstart keys for a hell of alot of customers. I apparently will receive my key before the end of the day. Im not holding my breath

If you have pre-ordered at the EA store, you will NOT be sent the activation key. Instead, go to the EAstore site and login. Under Customer Service you should be able to check your recent orders, WAR will be in there and the activation key is listed there as well.

Got my code through from Play so will be having a blast later, get my DOK started.

Yeah done that several times its just blank where the code should be , basically I'm screwed because EA cant provide a service for their own frickin game to the same level that a 3rd party site such as direct2drive (who deliver keys within 15mins of the order) can.

next noob question........

What sort of patch is there between open beta and release client? I've got the open beta installed as of last night but i've not connected yet....

I'm wondering if I'll get a chance to play tonight

They reckon thee patching process is relatively painless. I certainly hope so because I am leaving work @ 4 to sneak in an hour before the wife gets home. Once Eden is in bed at 7 I shall be officially pointy again!!!!

You're probably looking at around 3-400mb...Also patch speeds seem pretty good even on high server load times such as OB launch so it shouldn't be a huge wait.

Early bed for my girl tonight, will start patching when i get home from work.

Seems the key I got sent from game.co.uk after I cancelled my order was still activatable *cough* *cough*

Oh well it gives EA 9 days to sort out my retail key, now to see if my bonus items work lol

What's all this headstart crap? Can I order/download the game online anywhere while I wait for my copy to arrive from HMV?

in the same boat sift, you can download the beta client form WH-euro site, but its 10Gigs. So rather than blow a months dl limit I'll have to wait for box.

items get sent via your characters mailbox

Just received email confirmation that the pre-order code for the items has been confirmed. Taken quite a bit of time for this one arrive so imagine they are a bit busy. Will get my camp erected later, good times.

Check your ingame mail for the items, not sure if you get the items for every char you create tho?

Not been away mate, been playing SWG for a while, & a ton of non-online games while waiting for this to finally get released. Not sure I'll have a lot of time to play it atm :*(, but I can atleast get it & have a go.
