Other then the ISAssistand and Libslah addon but have no screenshots anyway

I have to say, this game does look an awful lot like WoW.

what really pisses me off is how everyone looks at war and says - "oh it looks like wow".

Warhammer ACTUALLY looks alot like DAOC. DAOC (Dark Age of Camelot) has been out for over 8 years now and spawned the likes of EQ, WoW, etc etc etc.

Then the wow boys come in and say "oh it looks like wow"...

No it fucking doesn't. It looks like a logical progression from DAOC. YES some elements from WoW have made their way into War, just as Blizzard just patched a fuckton of War elements into WoW, this is the nature of the game.

To look at the UI and dismiss it as a wow ripoff is, however, vastly inaccurate and unfair.

The modding of the game actually pisses me off too. All these mods and UI enhancements that tell you what's hitting you etc etc. It makes it easy for nublets to play the game and dodge the effects of the clever players because some fucking twat made a mod that screams in huge fucking text over their screen that they've got the effects of spell X which means they need to X.

The difference between this and Wow - and indeed much of the difficulty of WoW was taken away by "useful" mods that basically turned the game into a one click, rinse, repeat effort with no advantage for players who actually take their time to LEARN HOW TO PLAY THEIR CLASS.

I've got one thing - an assist button - that's all I need, all I want. I'll be keeping my warhammer vanilla - or as close to it as possible.

I meant in my original statement that the scenery and models and various other textures look very similar to WoW.

You rage at me that im a WoW boy...yet you know that was the first mmo that I have to compare it to, how can I compare War to a game that I have never played?

You were the person who told me to get WoW in the first place...its hardly fair to then criticise me for not having played mmo's as long as you...

I played DAoC for a few years and I agree with Macey alltho the colors used in WAR are toned down compared to WoW. This is speaking from a graphical POV, not gameplay.

And if by 'some elements' you mean the talent, questing and scenario based PVP then...yes it took some elements from WoW.

It looks like WoW because WoW looks like Warhammer. Initially Warcraft was due to be an RTS based on the Warhammer IP but there was some sort of split, they just kept making the game and keeping the style.

To keep the game in a similar mold to the comics and figures and shit that had to make it look something like WoW unfortunatly. When you actually look at the graphics though there a massive improvement over WoW, much higher poly count and cleaner, sharper textures.

....it is however funny seeing Goose equiping his Handbag of Justification +10 Strength +10 Smite +1 Postcount.

I think people are forgetting how WoW looks, actually. I said the same thing a while ago - WAR and WoW look similar.

Then someone sent me a screenshot from WoW.

It looks nothing like WoW to me, more like SWG.

Quit the bitchin gimmee some screenies!! :p I want to see what other prettifications I can throw at it.
