when you reactivate you will be asked to move them - choose karak norn and then doa /who kill frenzy to get an invite

in the main they are alot like us. Grumpy old men who like playing mmos and having a laugh. There's a couple of odd fellas in there but they're just odd - not pita's

Tiear 4 wise the server was flying, but there wasn't enough coming up through the lower tiers that were not already at T4 with an Alt.


Norn on the other hadn has a shite load of action in all of the tiers.

The lower tiers was a problem, I did notice when playing alts at low levels it was hard to get public quests done, & even on my main most of the time I had to solo quests because everyone else seemed to be a tier above me. Which at higher levels on a shamen isn't easy.

How many of you are still actually playing?

Me, Cal, Grindy, Nat (intermittently) and that's it I think from those who started...

There's "issues" with t4 atm which have left me alting it in lower tiers or order side. The next patch (1.2.1) will hopefully see a more even handed approach and we'll be back in t4.

For those of you who don't know - the BW was buffed a little in combination with a lowering of the hard cap on resists.

What this turned into was plain evil. You were taking more damage because resists "capped" at 40% and their damage was improved meaning that aoeing large groups of tanks at keeps made a keep untakeable.

Factor in the way ROF works which seems to induce large server lag and add in the large numbers of players who have BW and it turned end game t4 into a mess. Destro globally have been on the back foot since and Order are sieging the capital cities dailly.

1.2.1 sees a rebalance of AOE and tweaking of some of the more unbalanced tactics. This in combination with some much needed buffing of melee dps classes like the Marauder, White Lion, Witch Elf (all of which got stealth nerfed to redundancy in 1.2) and some server side lag fixes should the tiers evening out again and lots of action.

For what it's worth - the game now is better than release. There's loads of content and so much has been fixed. We'll continually have pet hate classes that get slightly overbuffed or underbuffed but in the main it's alot of fun.

Norn is an ok server. Tbh I preferred Hirn even if it was quieter but the guild is in The Evil League of Evil. We're allied with Roo and Savage Conclave so we're getting lots of good fun alliance ops and the guys are all our age - good fun and good to roam with.

Good to hear you lot are having fun...I gave in to the Lich King and am having a blast in Northend with my horde Death Knight.

I never gotten into WAR, for some reason WoW is a lot more casual friendly or at least more gratifying then WAR was, at least for me.

I still don't get how you find the time to play an MMO. As soon as I get home from work I'm allowed to cook myself some dinner then Logan is handed over, by the time he's asleep it's 8, 9 or even 10

Ours are asleep before 8 and wake up @ 7 the next morning

Gives me 1 or 2 hours a day to play some games

Pff 1 or 2 hours, if it aint 6 to 9 hours I'm not interested

Fishe still plays, Triggs as well but he's busy at work unless i've missed him quitting. I am sure Mainy said he would be getting back on as well after he sorted out some shit.

Goose's earlier post sums up T4 atm, so it's all go in the lower tiers at the moment. Which does not seem to be affected by the performance issues seen in T4.

Definately try a Choppa. Easy as piss to lvl up. Just grab 3 mobs, go to school, get your AP back and go to school again. Soon as you hit 17, you have a tactic which lets you heal while furious and berserk, which makes it even easier going. So long as you spec Path of 'da Wrecka.

And yes, Disciple of Khaine is the easiest healer to lvl, and also the best AOE healer I think.

Cool, got my char transferred over last night and got the confirmation mail, been accepted on the guilds website, so will try and log in later on tonight and sort out my interface etc.

Didn't make it on till late, was only one kill frenzy person online, I've no specialisation skills atm as they've despecced me so I need to research what's a good solo spec as I doubt there will be many level 28's knocking about...

They are from Yyvresse server mate after that closed also.

Alot of people have alts around that level mate, I myself have a healer, we can fly through shit with your damage.

They replicated our guild <cybergings> to Yrvresse

Some of us kept alts in cybergings, when we transfered those to Norn we got cybergings name because no one else had it. After the forced transfers our chars from Yrvresse were forced across in the guild they were in an x was added to the end of cybergings to stop confusion.

I enjoyed it last night tbh. Thanks for the pairing, would probably lose interest out questing on my todd Would be quite happily just running scenarios at the speed they kept popping up, was a little like a headless chicken though until I find my way round.

Got a response to my CSR about 100% tax which helpfully suggested that I spoke to the guild leader, despite me pointing out that the guild tab is set to 50% tax...

We can do Scnarios like that all night long tbh mate, although doing a little bit of questing inbetween maximises your xp gain, we can fly through the quests with our pairing as well tbh.

You're not paying 100% tax mate. I thought I was last night too. What you see is your share of the lewt. So you recieve say 23 brass coins and the guild recieves 23 brass coins.

It looks like you're paying what you receieve to the guild but what is actually happeing is that you loot 47 brass coins or so, 23 go to you, 24 or so go to the guild.

Solo questing and scenario groups.

best way to level quickly is this:

1.) Always port back to the Vipers pit in IC at the end of every play session ( I don't do this but zoggy does and he levels like a trooper) as you get a bonus to rested xp

2.) Grab like minded people and join scenarios as a group so you have fun and something to keep you going

3.) Grind quests, Public Quests, Mobs - anything. Try and line your quests up and do areas of a map at a time. (this si why I hate Elf Lands as they have too many quests that send you all over the shop as opposed to being relatively constrained to one area)

4.) Open RVR quests - do they - all of them. The rewards are a good (xp and tokens usually) and some even give nice talismans.

There's a new quest in Talabalecland that gives 60k XP btw - just go to the warcamp and find a goblin to talk too. Then ride north into the oRVR lake and go behind the Dwarf Alehouse objective and find the book on the floor outside the back door. Get that and go back to the camp - voilla! insta 60k XP

I'll be 31/32 by the end of my session tonight.

BTW if you're just after fun - just get in the guild warband everynight and level through orvr. It's not as quick but it's alot of fun and you'll have a good time which is what it's all about.

That 60k quest can be done 4 times if I am not mistaken, you get a follow on which is kill 20 players, then another one to take a keep or something silly but it's very easy and great xp.

I wouldn't mind doing a few of the PQ's tbh, but there never seemed to be any groups in the Elf lands for some reason.

I'll probably do a mix of WB and Scenarios with Cal tbh and let you carry on levelling at the faster speed.
