This has been rumoured for so long now its not really a surprise, that said the vids look pretty neat, yes it is very KOTOR, & I'm not sure you can play anything but a jedi (althought the avatars hint that may not be the case, HK ass droid for eg), but while it may appear linear it would also appear that it will have long story arcs unlike most MMO's. I'm not sure how that will fit in with the MMO style but it looks not too bad, & indeed it has to be longer lasting than the KOTOR games which can be completed all too quickly. Last thing you would want while you are out doing the story based stuff is a sith lord turning up in your newbie zone to gank you.
It looks as though the initial game will be based on a single planet (one which has very little cannon, so they can go nuts with it), which isn't very kool, half of starwars is space, & the different worlds. One big draw for me in the game is the choices though, unlike KOTOR you can't save/reload & try the different script answers, you get one shot, the choices you make in game are reflected in your character.
If I play it I'll have to play as sith though, since every KOTOR game & SWG I've played as lightside. Oh allright I might roll a lightside jedi aswell since it will be harder to maintain a mastered light jedi in this game than any other to date. I can't see anything about a house, so we might not be able to get one, & spend week after week flipping bits of furniture & decorations in it heh.
This will be one to watch I guess...
Maybe when this comes out they'll return jedi to a locked class in SWG \o/
