Ok Guys

Its time we started getting organised.

I need dates from prospective goosefest attendees. I WILL be running another bbq which will have lots more room indoors now as the extension will be finished them and we should be semi-civilised by then

OK

It will be a weekend thing - attendees can arrive whenever they like on Saturday and leave whenever they like . . . .

People are welcome to crash and I will provide foodage (as long as you eat meat) and sleeping space (on the floor or in a bed with whoever gets there first - my bed is off limits :p)

What do you need to bring?

Beer/Spirits/Somethingtodrink
Yourself
Sleepingbag

I'm going and my wife is coming too. We probably leave the thursday before and go to London first to visit a friend. Dunno yet if we're going by car and make a short holiday in the week after the bbq or if we'll go by plane and get right back after the bbq.
If we're going by car we can pick you up at some airport

That is, if we have a new car by then because our current one has only two seats.

Flying to London and then the train from London Euston to Coventry seems to be the cheapest option. Single fare tickets to London as cheap as 25 euros if you book now, so a return ticket will cost you about 100 euros incl. taxes. Train ticket from London is around GBP 35 (return fare)and it takes about an hour and a half.

If you book early via networkrail.co.uk you should be able to get saver tickets which half the cost of that train fair.

you can normally get to london and back for £15 on the train - we can collect anyone from the train station

Me and the mr. have plans to come and have a peek.

I think we'd go by boat/car. Id like to fly, but I hate to be depending on public transport or rent an expensive car.
Bad luck is a friend of us is getting married on the 18th, wich makes things a bit more tricky.

It is just south of Birmingham.

Coventry does have its own airport but its very small, Birmingham is the nearest one I think.
