Yeah I'm just too pessimistic sometimes. But I stand by what I've said on the forums: no one is gonna give this the time of day as a new game. Especially not if they start off in DoY.

Started in NC myself, and they did do something to the gfx, not impressive tho. Gfx lag way behind anything out there atm, and even DAoC has better gfx.

Not giving up yet tho, gonna transfer some chars over from my own account and scout around the wastes. They should've had a major overhaul population wise. I'm not holding my breath for better gfx :S

I'm not gonna upgrade/purchase nc '2', I'm not even bothered about the open beta now..
and the posts delta made, made me see how thick headed I actually was heh

textures are just old ones with upped contrast basically, only skies look nice

DoY was supposed to be out while we were all still actively playing and was supposed to be free.

I've now put two children through scholl and university, reached retirement age and written a best selling novel before they got round to releasing it.

Plus the Feeky Chunts decided to charge us for the slight graphical tweak.

I was always a big defender of NC and DoY, however after logging in last night and seeing that virtually nothing has changed gfx wise is a major disapointment.

BUT, according to people that played in close beta (properly played and tested) there is more content, especially the crafting and interactions between factions has seen major overhauls. I'm not judging this game untill I had a chance to scout around with a high level character and see if those changes are really that good.

In the end you'd prolly turned the gfx down anyways seeing hi fps > all.

So, not giving up yet, but a helluvalot more sceptic then last week...

I think I've just been spoiled with CoH, seeing as its the best looking mmog I've played yet. I have everything at max in that game and the fps is still high. Highest settings in NC2 yields unreliable performance, at a fraction of the image detail.

Bleh.

NC was an awesome concept in theory ..

Gonna take a peek at NC2 .. It took enough time to dld so im sure as hell gonna make use of it .. if only to prop my recyle bin up ..

I rattle through 2-3gigs per day, so long as theres something worth getting. 1.6g is an average filesize for what I leech.

Transferred Deltorg and Queerhawk in today. Only tried Deltorg, and he had absolutely no items - except a spy booster 3 spell, and only 57k credits. Thats not enough to buy toilet paper with.

Add to that I don't know wtf I'm doing anymore, and that I can't read the menu screens well enough (skills in particular) for it to be digested means I'm a high level gimp. Plus I left both chars in a state of LoM so I'm super gimped.

i lommed a few con levels on Grimal so I'm level 63 and got 59k

im currently holed up in my DoY apartment as I think im Crahn sect \o/

Only had 1 thing in my qb which is pretty much useless :/
Only thing I could do is go hack (fight?) some databases, but I dont have a tool or a weapon to do it, nor do i have the cash ://

57k should get u some software bits and bobs for hacknet, tried going thru there for a bit and its actually quite fun, trying to steal some stuff...just a shame theres some 127/127 mobs blocking the path now and again
