The only song I made sure the DJ brought to my wedding, the football chants in the comments below are quite funny, there are a few I've not heard before.

Some say Ska is dead? It's still a pretty big scene in the south at least, I know there's always stuff going on in Plymouth and Exeter I even saw The Selecter about 3 years ago there.

Most punk or skate events will have a fair few ska bands playing though. Mad Caddies are probably my favourite though, saw them a few time on the Deconstruction Tour. Oh to be young again :cry:

I am am huge SKA fan, pretty much all I play. I guess I grew up with a lot of the Second Wave 2Tone scene on the radio.

Saw 'The Toasters', my favorite SKA band live in Den Haag last year. *Awesome* gig!

Not much in the way of visuals but this is the best SKA song ever. Done by Toots and Maytals under the name of The Flames before they got famous.

Sorry to all you modern SKA boys but anything after 1985 is a poor imitation. Speshly if it comes from the US

Gotta agree with Gangster on this one .. Stuff like Toots, Desmond, Prince Buster, The Pioneers etc cant be beaten imo. Although the 2 tone era comes in a close second.

Saw the Skatalites in Amsterdam in 2006, they were a class apart even with the new members.

I had one of my grandad washable reusable ones from WWII. In the fullness of time I shall pass it onto my son. It's a bloomin' family heirloom.
