lo all

We're playing with this @ work atm..

http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

It's free to people who have legit copies of windows but it does send "anonymised" data back to MS reporting on your application usage and what you have installed.

So far I've found it quicker than Kaspersky, less load intensive and has detected worms/malware better than kaspersky has.

Really not bad tbh and considering it's free...

M

I'll stick with Avast. Their new version is pretty swish.

huh, that's actually pretty decent from microsoft.

can't run it myself, obviously, but if it's as good as goose says, it's definitely a good step forward from them.

Works pretty good, and together with Windows Defender it's a nice security suite. However...

That's just wrong really, I don't get how privacy laws prevent local governments from putting cameras all over town (in NL at least) but at the same time those laws seem to not apply to software.

Anyways, seeing you've been busy with that @ work, how about licensing? Can you freely distribute it in an enterprise environment, cost free?
