Ok rush post b4 I’m off...
Looking at a 26" Hd for the bedroom - getting Raa over the gaming quality ~(8ms and shit) any one got a recommendations?
I’m trying to keep it as much sub £550 as possible, or id just get a one Sony tbh.
Anyway all advice would be gratefully received as I’m going to order something this evening…

The Samsung was my 1st choice but the Philips seem to have less bad reveiws and has 1080i. :?
(and i did look on other sites too amazon was just fastest to link)

I've had a looksy in the back of "what hifi" magazine and they've given the Samsung 5 stars, they don't have any 26" Philips reviewed unfortunately.

This thread recommends a different model altogether
Panasonic in What home cinema magazine

This thread talks about the Philips auto adjusting the brightness after each scene change which I guess could get quite annoying.
Auto brightness annoyance thread

Owner of both TV's gives his honest opinion
Samsung vs Philips

Response #5 in this thread would insuate that the problems have been remedied in the philips
Philips Model

Samsung
Previous Philips Model

Review of that panasonic I posted above

It would appear that amazon don't sell this model though :(

Bah... buggery.. Its going the way i thought it would.

Looks like the samsung.. Guess hoping to get the 1080i was pushing it for such a small tv.
The auto things on the philips would be to much of a F*%"er on games.
and with the samsungs proven gaming application.

thanks m8,

The dimmer thing can be turned off on analog I think but not digital (it was in one of the links I posted above, so please check incase I've got this wrong)

I know m8, its cool.
I was favoring it for the 2 HDMI and the 1080i, which would be effected.
As most of my gaming will be Pc this year i think...
Ps3 can wait tbh, as long as i can get ff-XII..
Cant see 1 other reson to buy it.

Ok did some other reading last night.
Anyone here use hdmi or connect their Tv to their pc at all?
If so do the nvidia 7 series or better cards, work ok with dvi > hdmi
Or is it still the old VGA better?

Anyone?
