Right, Gooses new PC bits and bobs tantrum got to me as well. I'm gonna ditch building it myself and go with a Dell XPS system. Mostly because I want a machine that'll last for a few years as well as the warranty covering @ home service rather then having to send it to a manufacturer and what not.

DON'T BUY A DELL XPS!!

You're better off buying alienware at that price - at least you'll get something that looks good :)

That really is key, Alienware looks purty but all service and warranty matters involve pick up and return packages.

[edit]
Not to mention the fact that any comparable Alienware PC is about 800 euros more expensive then a Dell.
[/edit]

Whenever I read a review of a reasonable priced Alienware (re: £1500 ish) it gets really mediochre reviews.

I dunno why people rave about them tbh.

Was tempted to upgrade my machine, but it's running most things nicely still and I am in no rush, probably hold off until the quads become more common as my machine will be 2 and a bit by then.

Alienware looks so over the top. Overhyped stuff.
Go with the XPS if you must.

I have a XPS gaming laptop and it kicks some pretty serious ass.

Can't beat that system you're buying by far but at this moment i'm not playing PC games anyway.
