Right, been about a week or so since my router started overheating.
It still works, just needs to be reset everytime it butts out.
But ever since that started I've been getting a weird korean site, instead
of sites like Google and this forum. After I close IE (7) a couple of times it
goes back to normal and I can visit those sites again.
Don't tell me to ditch 'the pos IE' for firefox, because I can't browse with
firefox without crashing every 5mins.

Here's a screen I found on the net:
http://robodoos.nl/kt/kt.html (simple page with a JPG embedded)
Looks the same, although I don't have the jap/korean language files installed.

Anyone know anything about this, and more imporatanly know how to get rid of it?
AVG found nothing and theres nothing in addons, nothing in startup,
nothing out of the ordinary in Taskmanager

//
found a file called removevideoactivexobject.exe on teh web, so far seem to have fixed it.
Then again, the sites comes on pretty randomly..

Would be handy to check the DNS settings on both your router and PC to make sure you use a proper DNS.

Try adding your ISP's DNS server manually to the TCP/IP settings of the network connection your using.

I checked and they match..
I've seen the first link before, haven't seen the second. Guess I'll try Sophos

Ever since I used that program [I wrote about in my edit] IE started crashing :|
Downloaded Firefox, on the second site I visited it crashed =[. I'll stick to Firefox
for now, see how it turns out.

Also do Start->Run->msconfig and see if there's anything abnormal running on startup in there. Be careful what you disable though.

Did that Sift, nothing out of the ordinary.
No I haven't Beans. I thought that program would just create a log of
every program that's running, so I didn't bother with it

It creates a log but the Iamnotageek has an automated analyzer so it gives you a few pointers as to what shouldn't be there. The version I have seems to let you wipe bits out too which is handy and seems to get deeper than usual spyware stuff. Plus you can post your log on the Iamnotageek forums and a bunch of freaks who understand what the hell it's on about might help too.
