Right, time for me for a mem/mobo/proc update...

Got the mobo and memory sorted, just a bit confused about processors.

Theres the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 and E6850. The first @ 2.66 Ghz and the 2nd @ 3.0 Ghz.

Price difference is about €75 and I'm wondering if that really is worth it. It's a bit of a luxury problem I know, but still wondering if anyone could shed some light on it, if it's really worth the cash difference.

Hello mate. Looking at Tom's Hardware CPU charts might give you some perspective: http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu_2007. ... &chart=420

I used to upgrade bit by bit and rebuild my pc in about a year..

Now we have kids I'm down to 1.5 yrs :p

New gfx card by the end of the year as well probably, seeing DX10 should be spreading by then

Always used AMD for my PC's and always been disapointed by the actual performance.

That and the fact dual cores arent even properly supported by games let alone quad cores.

I've always used both to make sure I don't suffer from greener grass syndrome and have never been impressed with the Intels
