After reading all your escapades with upgrading and the fact that Bioshock runs like a frozen dog turd. Ive decided to upgrade.

Got that mainboard as it still has support for 2x IDE channels
Might order a large SATA drive in the near future.
Dont need a PSU as the one i got is a 550w already.

I just bought an xbox360 for bioshock instead of upgrading; can always upgrade later (but I wanted a 360 elite more than a new computer)

Got a 360 already .. Just really really fukin hate playing FPS with a pad .. Im liek old skool innit

edit: although I got it pretty much for the racing games, to be honest - just picked up Bioshock because I could, and it'd be cheaper (or at least more convenient) than upgrading my PC.

9000's are out in november m8, might be worth waiting..
I was hoping my old pc would last till they were out, thier meant to be more stable on dx10 games.

Need a PCI-E gfx card anyway m8. Thats why i went for a 86 instead of an 88.

Now its all in .. But i think the gfx card is fucked.

If i install the drivers it causes an infinite loop error and then a fatal stop.
Gonna pick up a cheap card tomorrow to test it and then prolly send it back for replacement.

At least i know got 2 8600gt's for SLI
