Hey Macey,

I got mine from http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ many moons ago.

I had no trouble whatsoever, and found them very competitive, but heard (i think on this forum) about them stitching someone up or something.

Thats said, its a good site to get an idea of spec vs cost. If you click on 'build your own desktop' it lets you config your own setup, and didnt used to force me to get operating sys or keyboards etc.

If you do a forum search for pcspecialist you get 3 matches. Top resulting thread names a few places you might want to look at, and the middle one is the one with Natura having problems (eventually sorted)

Just orderd from http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk Great configurators to play around with and get the spec you want.

Looked at pcspecialist too but their lead time is something stupid like 4 weeks and they don't have the variety of cyberpower on the options.

EDIT: put the right url in :D

Tbh.
Well impressed with them, expland why things were different and altered the price to reflect that when it came.
They don't do the annoying put a lable on the case saying void if you open.
(As well mine would be void within a day usually as i always fuck about inside the case. )

If your going Sli, aparently when thier out the 9's might use less power than the 8's if you go for geforce (which tbh is the only option for dx10 cards imo atm)
And If you going sli and thinking 8800's well yeah get shares in the national grid first as your looking at 750+ psu to be sure.

http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/cart/ ... 35&ref=add

Those are the 2 builds which I like the look of, think I would prefer the non-sli version as Sli did not go well for me as Kuif so frequently reminds me :(

Any thoughts or suggestions for improvement without spending too much more wonga?

I'm not sure i'd pick a gtx with the first setup, I suggest changing it to an
8800gt. Performance wise there's not much difference between the two,
plus you save like £150.

nice big tft aswell :D

as for sli, well I'm not convinced it's worth another gfx card for the little performance gain you're getting

Ive not noticed the difference with having 2 cards on this one, it certainly wasnt worth the extra 170 considering the amount of problems it caused and the fact that nothing really runs it still, thats why i'm liking the first set up so much more, those cases look awesome though!

A bit to 'in your face' for me, hehe

I see you've went for the 32bit vista, might be an idea to switch to 64bit
so you will be able to upgrade the ram to 4gb or more

oh and dont forget the freebie shirt :p

New pc arrived yesterday, getting stuff installed and working out how to use Vista atm, loving the pc, thanks a lot for the recommendation Jase, really appreciate it mate, they did an amazing job on it, one of the tidiest builds I've seen.

I also ended up ordering the Samsung 226BW 22" monitor, got it from Overclockers' B-Grade section, saved about £50 just to get the monitor without any packaging or cables, spent £18 on some cables from the local pc shop and it works perfectly, would definately recommend it if anyone is looking for a bit of a bargain.

I ended up ordering the Logitech DiNovo keyboard too, I couldn't reisist the prettiness of it in the end. I thought I might well end up regretting spending so much on what is essentially just a keyboard, but it was worth the cash just for the moment when I opened the box and turned it on for the first time just to see all the LED displays come to life! It is an amazing thing though, the touch pad on it is amazingly accurate and easy to use and the other features are just as good. I'm not entirely sure if its worth the amount they charge for it, but when it comes down in price it would definately be worth getting if people are looking for some new peripherals.

Do cyberpower cancel your warranty if you have a nose around inside the case like some companies do?

I didn't see any clause in the stuff they sent me to that effect, I didn't really read through it that thoroughly though, they had a load of packaging inside the case when it arrived so I assume not as you had to open it to remove all that crap before you could use it so you could just say you moved something doing that I suppose.
