I use 6 at work as I'm using windows 2000 and 7 won't install on it :P Firefox at home though. I've used 7 and tbh I see no reason not to upgrade, at least it has tabbed browsing, still a crap browser but no crapper than 6

IE7 still can't handle CSS/CSS2, I see.

Conclusion: it sucks.

I see no reason to change from Firefox 2 to IE7. Besides, Firefox 3 is bound to release soon anyway.

In fact, I'd recommend anyone doing any kind of browsing to either use Firefox or Lynx. Stay the fuck away from IE.

Never had as much trouble with PC stability and memory issues since I've gave up on Firefox.

Firefox 1 was good as it wasn't targetted as much as IE, Firefox 2 is good but it is loosing it's security advantage, and it hogs PC resources, just open 8 tabs in IE7 and Firefox 2 and compare the 2 in your taskmanager.

No clue about firefox 3 tbh and I doubt I will.

I just try to stay away from anything which says "downloading from microsoft" as it generally precedes my pc being infested with spyware and viruses and me crying over my poor carcass of a pc.

I tend to stay away from microsoft.com downloads aswell, but that's because
it tries to validate my windows :x

I seriously doubt microsoft would infest your pc with spyware and viruses.
So stop blaming microsoft and stop visiting porn and warez sites ;)

I switched to firefox after IE(7) kept crashing on me, it's quite a performance
hog though. Easily taking 500mb of ram

I've not had any stability issues or spyware problems since I stopped using IE, nor has anyone else who I've told to use Firefox after spending ages removing shit from their PC that they've got via IE.
Just installed firefox 3 beta 1 to see what it's like, you can get it at
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

As far as I'm aware, I have collected no malware through use of IE. I can't be arsed to try out a new browser. IE does what I want, which is in effect (resisted i.e. joke) just a thing to point and click. There was a time where I would be interested in the smallest performance gain and having the biggest and the best kit but now I'm on the fast train to middle aged, lack of time induced apathy, which I'm sure will be followed by a single fare bus ticket to Ludditesville Avenue in the town of Blizfel Ignorunts. Cheers for the responses.
