Ok, basically, i have a problem in my bedroom concerning PC's, in the last 2 months i have gone through 2-3 motherboards, none were exactly top of the line. As i need my puter to do a home computing course, its kinda irritating the crap outta me.

Ok, i have a dual wall socket in my room, 1 socket is connected to the PC and peropherals via an extension, a lava lamp is connected to that extensions aswell.

Wall socket no. 2 is connected to my TV, PS2, 360 and a fan heater.

Now neither of these 2 setups have anything cross conected except that they both run from a dual wall socket.

I have also killed 5 harddrives in the same timeframe, i dont know what is causing this, it may have been conincidence as the HD's and mo'boards werent newer than 5 years, but a coincidence like that is staggering.

I have no idea what to rule out next, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

buy a surge protector or UPS type device and run your pc from that mate.

You can pick up an el cheapo one for around £30 at the most.
