Has anyone here had to convert VHS to CD or DVD? It's not something I've ever considered as it seemed like a waste of time but I've just been told that the next ultrasound we get will be videod and that the CD option doesn't work as you only get about 12 seconds before the hard disk fills up rather than doing it directly to tape (Fix the fucking HDD I says
) so now we have to take a VHS tape to the appointment, I don't even have a VHS player and certainly doubt I will in 20 years time when I want to embarass the kid. So I'm thinking of converting it to CD/DVD as that will have the added benefit of me also being able to send a copy to my mom as a US VHS won't run on UK machines anyways. So has anyone done it? I've had a quick shufty online and seen a few devices I may look in to and also a service that will do it too so may go for that if it looks like doing it myself will be too pricey, though I think I'll need to do it again in a few more months when we get the 4D scan.
Worst case scenario I say bollocks to it, buy a VHS player for myself and tell my mom if she wants to see it she'll have to visit, either that or figure out some funky use for the TV card in my PC.
