Right going to do the upgrade to 64bit.
So at the moment I have this.
Would it better to just upgrade to 4gig and keep the 4-5-5-15 timing or go up to 6GB with this and drop to 5-5-5-18.

I don't think you'll notice the blindest bit of difference in speeds (And that's not because you'll inevitably break something else when you put the memory in and be without a working computer). I'd go with the 6GB, the more the better. Though I'm running 64 Bit Vista Ultimate on 4GB and had no problems at all.

Thank you. (And see you can be helpful when you try. :P )
I haven’t really looked into Ram in that much detail before, so I was unsure if the timing being different would hurt the system stability at all.

If you wanna be sure of performance you should check out the manufacturers website and see if what RAM is compatible with the board.

It's rare but RAM can be incompatible with a systemboard and you'll get the most funky errors ever.

Using these myself.

Have you got that ram Oc'd as your using them?

I did look at those along with the other heat pipe version OCZ do, but as I haven’t noticed enough of an increase in performance to warrant the damage getting the voltages on ram slightly off can do, I decided to leave alone.

Is overclocking RAM really worth it? Memory is so cheap these days and, as said above, more RAM > a lesser amount of faster RAM.

Not OC'd them coz there's no need. Really only got em because they were on special offer when I needed some RAM.

And with current games and a 32bit OS OC'ing can be an option as your mem is capped @ 3.5GB.
