With the effective death of mininova... what are people using as a good safe torrent site these days? I liked mininova because it had a lot of content of all types, from games to software, music, TV & Vids. I also liked the way the most of the site was safe from viruses.

Has anyone got any good recomendations?

Demonoid is a safe bet now that they're back. If you need an invite just send me a message and I'll get you one.

Also, what.cd for music, but getting into that is a bitch to start with, and their invite rules are fucked so I can't even generate invites before I reach a certain share amount (and ratio).

I use Demonoid too. For TV though I tend to just use sites that stream them rather than download them. Most of the shows I watch are on their channel's website anyways though it's rare I have time to watch anything. I recently installed FreeVPN so I could mask my IP and let me watch stuff on UK sites too, I imagine it will work the same way for people in the UK wanting access to US sites.

I keep recommending ratio'd sites to people before realising that they can get the exact same service on isohunt without all the bullshit. Demonoid was good, but since the demise of all the other guys, everyone has flocked to isohunt and it works just as well - crazy amounts of seeders, and crazy amounts of leechers. You dont need to keep uploading to stay on it. You can be a leech bitch if you like, thus reducing the possibility that you'll be caught by the 1984 guys anytime soon.
