Today, I and Beans (Ifif) tried the corvette again. It started out nice, a couple of kills, everyone cooperating... ...and then half of the bastards started to solorun and the trip was turned into disaster. Somehow i managed to survive (guess that was to make up for my last trip when I got twatted some 6-7 times)...

...no doubt, apart from the luck, high energy protection armor was one of the keys there. Unfortunatly it's soon time for a new suit.

As Beans, I want armor where one can slice all layers but Electricity(Electricity is a per default non-slicable special layer). I checked a bunch of AS shops tonight:

Arem - Chestplate 120k...? No way!
Cray - Almost as expesive as Arem...
Song - Recommended on the forums, still a bit expensive and "only" 65% base. Resides in Mighty's old shop?
Upde - We've been shopping from him, nice pricing. Sent him a tell some nights ago, he didnt have time to talk, promised to get back. Nope, he didn't. No answers on the tell yesterday, nor today...

Ok, bloody crap... Mighty has quit... cooome back Mightyyy.... then I had a look at my Chestplate: 80% Energy, 67% Electricty, 77% base (sliced) and quite nice HAM: 227/73/41. Rather nice, wonder who is the creator, ah, ok some Mortarius guy. Since I bought it, it must have been decently priced as I dislike supporting 120k Arem chest plates etc.

Let's see if he is online... cool, he is. Will he answer? Aye, he was there and happy to chat. He even listened to a customer! Yeah, he was alright, mostly sold to guild mates, was gonna quit AS soon (11 months as one)...

At the end of our conversation, he agreed on making a run of triple layered electricity (as that was the only way to get Base 70%), with decent HAM, and send me a mail when they were ready (by next week - he had just started a run of stun composite).

Price? I didn't ask, but his 80% kinetic, 70% base Chestplates are 50k, compared to the similar ones of Arem and Cray at 120k a piece... Stun comp is a bit more expensive he said, as stun plates apparently are really slow fuckers in a factory...

A 27% slice would give 90% resits... I'm probably gonna buy a few sets so that at least get 85-ish. Anyone interested? I reackon we could get a small discount if we make a joint order.

Aye I'll take some. His 70% base stuff is 300k atm for a full suit though I'd happily pay more for just electricity layers.

I asked him about pricing:

2 million is pushing it, and you'd have to ignore the urge to loot and perhaps kill all the npcs. I'm gonna get in touch with Mortarius myself tonight as he's after kimo scales so I might see if he want to swap mine for armour Seems like the min bid on the forums for them is still about 2.5 mill and buyouts at 5 so I reckon I could get a bit of comp off him for it, hell I might even get a good slice on one bit.

EDIT: Gaaah someone has already said they have all the RIS bits he needs so I'll be paying cash for mine too.

I just sent him a tell checking up on progress. He said it was gonna be on his vendore tomorrow, but that he had run out of some resource making this armor 68% base instead of the original 70%...

This means a 33% slice will be needed to make it 90%, instead of a 28% slice had it been base 70%. I'm not sure I'm interested anymore then... will see what the HAM is like and then decide.
