Anybody getting or got Far Cry 2? Reviews plx

I never even played the first one and it was given to me, just doesn't appeal to me.

I went out and got a copy. Initial findings are good. Gameplay is the same as FC. Multiplayer sucks at the moment although I was never any good at FC Multiplayer anyways!

Just got it, played it for bout 30 mins and liking it so far, gonna have a mess about on multiplayer in a bit and get myself killed loads.

I fancy it but I've still got COD 4 in it's cellophane so the missus insists "You don't need another bloody game when you haven't even opened the must have one I bought you"

It's going on my list to Santa.
He'll get it for me.
Especially if I decorated the back bedroom before Christmas.

Is it squad based then? I thought it was mostly solo stuff like the pre mutant stuff in Far Cry

Yeah it is, they've gone a bit OTT with the storyline but that's the American touch I guess. All in all one of the more enoyable FPS I played recently.

Nothing that tops Crysis though.

You mean the first and second act not the third with the god awful alien section

Crysis was dire, too much time spent on making it look pretty, no time at all spent on getting the engine to work properly, damage was a joke for the most part, stupid game, too many aliens, waste of time.
