Ive been Reading up and tbh the limit of Modes in MP sounds a bit poo

well for me anyway... I hate DM, TDM is ok and assault is ok. But there is nothing for me personally with any substance there.

Errr, how many modes did rtcw have? Too many modes spoil the broth, check UT2k3 for example. As long as you have one solid mode then you dont have to worry about anything else, and assault seemed solid enough for me. And I dont understand all the moaning everyone's been doing about the netcode. It was good for me in beta, and that was playing across shady DIY servers. I imagine they've tuned it up a bit since then, and playing on dedicated servers will make all the difference.
No offense to you n3m, but I think alot of people have just jumped on the buzzword bandwagon with this one.

Errrm, You never experienced lag? Sure you can blame the "shady DIY servers". Even so, it was playable but lag was bad, you can shoot and hear nothing and see the guy you're pointing at flying 20km's into the air (meaning you killed him).
I played on a server where I got a 42 ping (hosted by a friend), and still lag like that

Played a few times over the weekend, never had any probs killing anyone so i think the netcode is fine. The servers need sorted though, too many without auto team balance etc, can fuck up a decent game tbh.

Plenty of official servers hosted in france which im pinging under 40 to, plenty of jolt/multiplay ones. I think the server admins will be tweaking the settings for a few weeks yet, as of right now i've not seen a full rotation of maps, or dedicated ffa/tdm/assault servers, the mode seems to change each map change.

Overall, i quite like it. It feels like a decent fps, just like wolf/q3 did when i first played them - instantly playable. Plus punkbuster from the start is cool, should help quite a bit.

I installed the Farcry demo and it crashed my PC twice

It can bugger off if it thinks I'm buying it without playing it like.

Turning on the software AA in the options of the game will cause it to crash.
