Sell your unwanted enhancements at a generic shop, not to field trainers. Apparently, you get 20% more money if you sell in this type of shop. An example of a generic shop is the one in Skyway (I think), in the bottom right hand corner (nearly) of the map. If you've downloaded the map mod it will be shown on there as generic.
