EDIT: I will not be using voice comms on this game, it took a lot of the fun out EQ2 for me, also I will not be joining SC's guild on WoW if they make one, while I would like to play with some of the people from SC there are the odd couple I would rather never see again. So I am likely to join the same server as SC chaps but a different guild.

Aye I will be, I think it's quite interesting seeing how much time I waste playing games, but same as you I watch very little TV but I find that I spend quite a bit of time with the dog tbh and I am looking a new pup so that I have 2 again.

I don't watch TV either and Solitaire isn't logged in XFire for some reason.........

btw Kuif, i did some questing this evening and it seems that besides the nice XP you get some cool 'rare' items every now and then.

My rare pants now have +15 agility

Had Dammos over last night and he is playing this. Said it was the first game since DAOC that has really grabbed him and he is loving it.

With summer coming I cant see myself getting another mmorpg but interested in what peeps think of it.

It really surprised me tbh. It's quite playable and easy to get into. Might be the "new game" phase, but so far I can see me playing this for more then a month tbh.

Immense world, good atmosphere, easy UI. It's a nice followup after daoc I guess.

yeah its really nice, never thought it was that much fun.

sometimes you have to queue to get in the server, not more than 10 mins in my experience so that's not too bad.

It's good so far, only played a weekend but you can realisticly play on your own, no classes appear to excluded as gimps, you can individually spec your chars so not every shaman is the same.

I can see me playing this quite a bit, my gaming time has really fallen off the past few months, I can see me playing this more and more though.

Really looking forward to getting up to a level where I can PvP.

Can be quite boring, but i bet some of you guys like it

Have to say: Game looks great, really cool interface, fantastic graphics,
many quests, easy to get into, great gameplay, cool PvP und so weiter.

But it's not my piece although i'm not quiting on this, it's worth the money

I don't like the comparison to DaoC (mainly cos I tried and failed to like it), cos WoW feels totally different and while the combat has similar traits to DaoC its the overall feel of a game that matters, not the materialistic similarities it has to others. So saying this game is 'DaoC with a warcraft sauce' is, imo, saying Lucy Lui is like Thora Hurd in a gaisha outfit.

DAoC was dull till you got past level 20 and could get to kill decent shizz, certain classes couldn't kill dick on their own at all, crafting was a mare without macroing, groups where nigh on impossible to get once places like moderna were released, ToA was the biggest pile of shit that I have ever witnessed and the game was full of really anal Arsenal Supporters full of there own self importance.

Aoart from that, it was OK.

Personally I think the other night when Delts, Fish and myself were stealthing through those woods as rogues and picking off alliance members was one of the best nights gaming I have had in years tbh.

And I really like the story that the guy posted in the unforgiven forum about camping the alliance quest NPC and when alliance came he PK'd the NPC with a backstab and unstealthed himself right in front of them, and then stood laughing at the newbies. That to me is sheer genius.

Aye that was fun mate, but I reckon last night topped it. We had running battles between Astraazar (sp?) and Splintertree, and I'd say there were about 100 people involved at one point. Me and Fish were heading to Splintertree when the biggest train of people I've seen in a game came charging past to attack Splintree (all Alliance). You would have been in your element mate, the kill count between us was insane

Me and Fish even took on another Lvl 42 rogue at one point and he fuckin ran!

Camping and prevending low levels/newbies to get their quest NPC, to me that is fucking lame.

You guys beating up higher lvl's, yeah, now that is cool but camping ....

well, he didnt kill the noobies just the quest npc. No harm done, just a few minutes of waiting for it to respawn

So far WoW seems to have a huge proportion of utter Arsenal Supporters, so they deserve everything they get. The lack of respect for unwritten combat rules towards me shown by Alliance means I'm gonna giref each and every one of them whenever I can. I know 2 wrongs dont make a right, but its shitloads of fun

I do think it's funny if it's not done repeatedly and part of the war between the realms is to kill stuff about your own level and higher (in this case the quest NPC not the newbs themselves).

Me and Kuif have had higher levels kill the quest NPC on us, but what you do have to remember Olav is that it's only pretend, it's a game, they come back to life in about 10 minutes, being killed isn't the same as it is in the real world matey.


If this happened to me once I would think it's funny and be cursing and swearing but I would see the funny side, if the chap camped the NPC and just constantly PK'd him then I would agree that was a bit off.
