Ok guys

This is quite important imo - cos I know how fond you all are of our memories of old games.

Essentially we've got alot of 'dead' forums. Neocron, guild only, officers, etc and DAOC, guild, officers etc which I intend to merge into one DAOC, one Neocron etc etc

once this has been done I will place them all in a category - I dunno I thought Memories might be good so we can browse through them when we feel all sentimental and stuff.

I'm trying to reduce the number of forums that we see when we log in - I don't want to touch the behemoth that is our WOW section - but I do think we need to consolidate them a tad. Alliance can go and be merged in with gen discussion. Things like that I guess.

Have a think and make any suggestions here please. Please don't ask for MORE forums unless we genuinely do need them.

Also - I've added a COH forum because I have a ton of useful links and readme's to post

I'm not really caring about the neocron forum, because I doubt anyone
will start playing it again. And even if someone reactivates, chances are
they'll most likely won't last a month.

Can't really comment on other sections because I never really get past General discussion.

Agreed people won't go back to most, but deleting is a bit OTT.

I'm tempted to cut the number of forum categories we have by some distance now....

We could have Other games we play

move every other 'active' (by active I mean more than 1 of us playing regularly) into there as a single merged forum (so merge all the eve forums into one - we only use general anyway, same with swg, same with any others)

Then we're left with Chez Cypher / mpfree / Wow / Other Games / Consoles / Request a Game / Memories / Test & spamming.

I think a lot should be archived off, "Archive" seems a bit better imo.

I think there are way to many subforums, but if you're intent on keeping them is there anyway of making the forums into some form of a collapsible tree structure?

I appreciate that the WoW forums are quite popular generally amongst us lot, but I've done and moved on with that game so it would be quite nice to collapse that tree to hide the 9,000,000 sub forums that it appears to need.

Merge all the subforums for each game into a single forum, even the current ones, Eve only needs one forum.

I agree with bubble bobble forum too tbh, I have it for the PC and just bidding my time before it becomes available on the Wii.

I dunno how this will go down but I was thinking maybe a "New Game" forum would be a good idea - the idea should be obvious, but for retards; i.e. Minx, Whelan and EN , a place to talk about new games etc. rather than random threads in Chez Cypher, thought it might make it all a bit tidier and easier to find new ideas and the like.

I've tinkered some more.

I'm trying to make the forum a little more managable.

To this end I created the cybergings members and officers usergroups to allow trigger to administrate who sees what wow wise.

I've now created an Eve-online usergroup. This is because I want to hide the Eve-Online forums so we've got a place to rant about things we don't like at times without it being in the public domain.

People who post there still have access - people who might have lurked reading posts there because they were bored haven't
