WTF? Since when was terrorism not a serious offence? I'd also like to see the maths, he's being released 17 days early from a 3 and a half year sentence when he was arrested in 2006? Is it 2009 already? What's the point in even catching them if they're going to get out again that fast?

you only ever serve half your term in prison and then get released on licence for the remainder of your prison term, he will be being release 17 days early from his half way point - probably due to good behaviour and lack of prison space, if he then commits another offence before his licence period is up then he will be sent back to prison to serve the entire of his term for this offence and will most likely get the maximum penalty for the other offence also.

Oh noes we better change the law! We have let 2 people out of prison early that have planned to potentially kill people. Don't worry about all the hundreds of murderers, rapists and paedophiles that are let out early as they are obviously less of a threat to peoples' lives.
