I don't usually swear that much unless I'm pretty wound up. Fucking BT Arsenal Supporters. 3 very long phone calls today. A whole afternoon's work lost due to trying to get them to provide some fucking decent support for me getting in the region of 130kbps connection speed. One laptop, one desktop, both wirelessly connected then both hard wired, one new BT Home Hub removed and old BT home hub reinstalled still couldn't convince them that the problem was not within my environment and was downstream of the phone socket. To cap it off, I get told that I would have to pay for someone to come out and check my line. Arsenal Supporters. When I finally do get sufficient bandwidth to access the fucking BT speedtester page, the results above are given. After which the (actually quite helpful and professional) last person I spoke to escalated it to line faults. Now I have to wait fucking 40 hours, allegedly before they will call me back about my restricted IP profile. Absolute Arsenal Supporters. Relying on an online tool to diagnose internet connection issues isn't the best fucking plan, especially if you can't access it. Speaking to customer services about it was also a great experience. Not only did she proceed to tell me that my line should support 6mb but decided that the best course of action was to put me through to the technical support desk... who turned out to be the lot I was already talking to. What a waste of fucking life. I now have to go catch up on all the work that I have not been able to do this afternoon before I get beaten up by an angry customer myself tomorrow. I take it you're with BT Retail, yes? Take a deep breath, PM me your details, like ADSL phone number, etc and I can get one of my guys to take a look at the line from the Wholesale side. A brief history of what is happening, is it a new line or an exisiting one that has suddenly gone tits up, etc, would also be useful.

Got an engineer coming out tomorrow to do some line checks or fix something that the last support bloke spotted, that noone else could. Anyway speed has gone up with no intervention this end but still is below the 4.5MB connection that I should be able to get:
