Sign up for beta if you care. Looks nice, although the combat looks a bit iffy. From what I hear, it seems they'll go the "full loot" PVP route. Dunno about that, I think those "hardcore" days are over. Could work though, but it depends on how the crafting and item system works. Would never work in WoW, for example - "lulz, I just stole this [Massively Epic Weapon With A Drop Rate of 0%] from some guy idling at the flight master." That'd go down well with the crowd I'm sure.
Brings back memories of Lineage 2 - if you fought back in PVP, you didn't risk losing anything (apart from xp on death), but if you just stood there like a tool and let them murder you, you had a chance of losing shit in your inventory (but they'd get tagged as murderers, too - which didn't matter at all).
Or, for even older memories - Ultima Online. Dear gods, the horror.
What I do miss from UO are the treasure maps. How hard would they be to implement in any of the modern games? Really?
