After years of faultless service, many hours spamming flash heals, and many hours clicking through reams of porn on the internnet, I am sad to report that my mouse seems to be fucked.

Sometimes when i click the left button it registers two clicks.

Annoying enough when not playing a game (resizing windows when all i wanted to do was click it to activate it - that sort of thing), but when i tried wow today i found it a massive pain in the arse.

For example, when i try to move an item in my bag, the double click effectively picks it up and then puts it down again. Grrr.

Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for good gaming mice?

I currently have a logitech G5, and am considering buying a new one of those. I notice they have revamped them since i got mine. Despite the fault, I would gladly get another.

Been looking at reveiws for a few, but wondered what you geeks used :)

I replaced my G5 with a G9 and I've been quite happy with it, I use my G5 at the office now... and it's great as I wind the sensitivity if someone asks to borrow my machine out of badness.

I like the look of the MX Revolution. I had the MX500 then an MX1000 back in the UK and can honestly say the MX1000 was the best mouse I've ever had, I'd have one over here but they seem to be $150 and that seems to be a bit of a piss take for a mouse especially when you don't game.

MX Rev was the best mouse I ever used. It fits perfectly in your hand, and the scroll wheel is really slick - incremental scrolling for edging down a page, or glide scrolling for zooming all the way down. I wasted a lot of time just spinning it :D I got it for about 50 which was worth it, but I wouldn't pay 150 for one.

I'm using a 518 now.

Thanks peeps.

A few of you using the MX series. I guess the only difference is that they are optical rather than laser like the G5 is.

Plus of course they are much cheaper! Thanks again, I will check them out a bit further!

Some of the MXs are laser, the MX1000 claimed to be the first laser mouse. Revolution is laser too.

You never took it apart to try and fix it yourself? What kind of computer geek are you?
