Ive seen a few of you guys on steam playing the game and thought it would be fun to get a big group going at some point!

Ill be on at some point most nights so anyone that fancies a game just shout on steam (search for Macey if Im not already on your list!) and we'll get a party going.

For those that dont have it already, its a great game, one of the best fps's Ive ever played, worth buying, even for £40.

Hope to see you all on there soon :)

x

I paid £25 for mine on day of release... there's no need to be paying £40...

Where did you get that from?

Cheapest I could find was £32 so I just got it from steam for £40 as it was easier.

I think I will be getting it for crimbo :)

that should be plenty of time for you all to get better at it than i ever stand a chance of being!

I enjoy a bit of COD WaW every now and then, although i suck at it!

Same here, Chrimbo pressie from the wife so have to wait.
I'll be happy to join you all when I get it. I understand you can use a shield in MP, so I'll be using Macey.

Enjoyed the single player but completed it in 9 hours. Multiplayer is teh suck imho. Far too campy and instant death for my liking, made me want to play CSS again.

The rest of the single player game is just repeating stuff from the campaign to get achievements. You can tell it's for the console kids.

A lot of that was cos of the game mode we were playing Gangster, if you play something like Search and Destroy, Domination, Sabotage, or HQ then its a lot more fun.

I wouldnt give up on it yet, imo its one of the very best fps games Ive ever played mp, try some other game modes and wait till you unlock some better guns and youll hopefully enjoy it a bit more.

Also playing with randoms will always throw up games like that, we played 1 game with all 12 people being friends and it was great fun, noone camping, just everyone running around in groups having 6v6 firefights, brilliant stuff.

Any FPS game that makes me play it more to get the good stuff fucks me right off. I want to win or lose based on my skill not the amount of time I / my opponent can spend playing it to unlock uber things.

tbh if you look at the stats of the guns then there isnt really that much difference in them, the m4 is generally one of the better weapons on there and thats an early unlock.

CoD has always had an element of "the more you play the better stuff you get" but as you can just nick the guns when people die its not really that much of an advantage.

Id try other game modes before you write it off for mp gaming though, it really is good fun, just ask neil, hes on it all the bloody time!

(I refrained from saying if you were basing winning/losing on your skill then getting owned all the time seemed about right...see how much maturer Ive grown keeping these petty insults to myself!!! :P)

Your restraint is admirable ;)

I will give it a bit longer, but it just hasn't grabbed me in the way that CS and TF2 did.

Thats cause it's for console kids and you know it :p

Making games that auto check point every 13 seconds, so the player don't have to replay the level after dying and being a big massive fuck off failure!!!!

Bring back resident evil with save points being based on how many typewriter cartridges you had left!!!!!!!

I'm quite enjoying it, the only thing I find annoying is that it doesn't have dedicated servers. Other than that it's good fun and I can jump on for 20 mins when I can fit it in for a quick blast about which suits atm.

Not tried the campaign yet so can't comment, but MP deathmatch is ok once you've scouted the levels a little, every camp spot has a weakness and I still smile when I take an enemy helicopter down with a stinger :)
