Anyone got it?

I'm reading bad things about pay to play and no LAN support, etc, etc.

I loved the first game, best RTS ever in my view and got me hooked on LAN and multiplayer gaming back in '98. I really want Starcraft II to be good but the stuff I'm reading on the net is worrying me.

Reviews please.

Played the beta. Twas really nice gameplay. Faithful nods to the original and its own unique direction in terms of units.

Dunno about the release issues, not parted with my cash yet.
Happy to throw down the money so will say more when I get around to buying it

Played the beta. Now, suffice to say that the game is not for me -- I don't care much for the kind of multiplayer SC/SC:BW had, and since it's the same for SC2, my interest to begin with was lukewarm.

Playing SC2 was like playing SC, but with nicer graphics. A few things to take note of: there won't be any LAN play. You will need to be online at all times to even start the game. There is no pay to play. You will need a Real ID to play even single player.

SC is nowhere near the best RTS ever in my mind, that goes to TA imo. But if you liked SC and its multiplayer, chances are you'll like SC2 too.

Never played the original SC, but I might take a look at S2 for no other reason than completely bored

Let me know if you or anyone else gets it - I prefer to be thrashed by people I know

Single player is great! Really fun missions, very diverse and some great cutscenes and plot babble.

I did love sc 1 and am adoring 2.

Not tried multi player yet though.

Am playing this lots. Enjoying smashing down noobs with nolander in double zerg 2v2.

Anyone else doing multiplayer?

I'm playing this a lot too on multiplayer - mainly 4v4 randoms.

I'll get you set up as friend etc.
