Well after an evening's play I must say I think I like this game.
Okay it's a MMORPG-lite, but hey if that means I can play around with 4 chars without having to spend +50hrs a week farming freaking muppets then I'm cool with that. Haven't headed out of the "prologue" grounds yet but I've had a chance to play with several chars and already have a feel for the way they might work. And the nice thing is I think that's there really no gimped or uber class combos - maybe only the PvE and PvP trade-offs we make when deciding what we want to do.
Warrior char at level 5 now. Haven't second-classed yet but having a play with them through the class sub-quests (temporary classes skills to try out, nice idea). Might try a Warrior/Elementalist (Air) as a sort of 'speedy attack tank'. Frankly there combos are almost too much to work with!
Tried a Monk but think it's unsuitable for PvP since it's so bleeding obvious you are the healer! Maybe a Ranger/Monk combo instead? Okay less healing but maybe you'll actually stay alive long enough to use them?
Everyone seems to rave about the Necros. Sure the Soul Reaping plus Death Magic means spamming out minions, but it seems a tad boring. Not sure on this class atm, prolly come into it's own with a group.
