Well I did it I bought a PS3, sucked in by the funky ads, and the chick in Heavenly sword. Seems good, the boy got an Xbox 360, and the wii is gathering dust until th next party, which so happens to be tonight:)

Are there any good games out there, i have a few now, COD3, Heavenly Sword, Drakes Fortune and Assassins Creed.

Skate is pretty tidy, Motorstorm is good and Super Stardust HD on the PSN is a good little buy.

I've got Burnout coming next week while I'm in the lakes which should be good too.

I bought mine a few weeks ago, mainly once the HD format war turned the corner and it seems it's pretty much the best Blu-Ray player around due to it's updatability with that still moving standard.

Had also been planning to build a small PC for behind the telly for viewing photo's, web surfing, playing muzac and all that stuff in HD and it does all that too.

Plus... there's some games I might also like! Plumped for GT5: Prologue (Japanese ver) and Tekken 5:DR both of which I'm very pleased with.

Never even fancied a console before, the GC and the Wii were bought for my son but I'm really glad I got one of these.

Just waiting for a nice MMO to play on it now.

I just bought Turok and assassins creed - awesome game IMO. though i did try ratchet and clank - not so impressed too easy:)

I'm trying to keep the purchases down to things I really want or are massive bang for buck. I don't really have time to play what I have already but I'm looking for another tv so I can actually get on it when I have time.

Skate does look good, was impressed with the demo so that might be the next one if nothing really grabs me when I've had enough of Tekken and GT.
Unfortunately the online play for both those titles is a bit of a poor experience. XBox Live certainly has that department nailed. GT is only really a beta I guess though...

How do you rate it as a game? Liked the demo and the reviews are pretty good, but does it hold interest through the game or is it pretty much all the same but with different areas?

It's ok, for me I get the most play out of GH3, Ridge Racer and Burnout Paradise.

I just bought CoD 4, which is pretty good, look for fausters if you have it - though i am crap online, no change there. I also picked up Devil may Cry 4, seems pretty good though not getting much gaming time with the new arrival in the family:)
