I'm trying Bellato first.

I appreciate that this is Beta but I think WoW was a bit more accomplished than this game, at the same stage. This might all change when I set foot outside.... very first impressions:

Graphics:
I haven't been outside the training area yet but, at first glance, the graphics seem a step down from WoW's. Bellato character models are Manga like. Big eyes. Elven looking. Everyone looks feminine, even the males). Scenery and character models lack depth. Very 'cartoony'.

Movement/Control System:
Point and left click at an area on the ground to run there. Can use WASD control. Targeting is left click then left click again to attack. Camera controls are right mouse button (and move) to pan the view. Mouse wheel to move in and out. Point and click will get frustrating for me. Maybe the control system will be enhanced later but I find i clumsy. Maybe it's a case of just getting used to it.

Combat:
Left click a mob to target. Left click again to attack. F# keys to activate quickbar special attacks. Rinse and repeat when reuse timer expires (nothing new there then). That's just from tutorial so can't really comment further.

Interface:
Obviously needing much development. Language is dodgy and has been roughly translated from whatever language it was first written in. I had to install a language pack when I first launched the game! That might have just been for the logon page... but still. Special characters aren't translated properly and grammar is poor. Dialog boxes aren't sized properly and words are cut in half (Tutorial). Press 'I' for inventory. Drag equipment to equip slots.... normal stuff.

My first impression was Frank Spencer, hmmmm Betty.....

is that a good thing?

First Impressions :

Graphically its pretty with some nice outdoor vista's
Controls are different btu usable.
UI is ugly as sin.
It doesnt support 1680x1050
The translation thats been done from Korean to English is too literal and doesnt make sense half the time..

....other than that I dont have a clue what to do

From what ive been hearing ingame its not soo much a Beta more of a server stress test. As the game has been live in Korea for ages the only changes were likely to see are the translation.

I actually like it. spent ages wondering why i couldnt chat in /map only to find its actuallt /Map who made it bloody case sensitive.

Solod myself to 16 then when outside a tunnel/cave complex joined group killing ace's (like elites) went in lvl 16 came out lvl 20 \o/ and got some nice lvl 27-30 loot.

Things i dont like are. The group loot system is a free for all so if your not a melee class loot ninj0r like me youll get fuck all. Chat system is a bit confusing at first. I also dont like the way the lvl of the mob is displayed. Damn annoying that.

Worth a dabble while in beta and free but i doubt id sub to it.
