At my uni club they only had plastic glasses so I used to pour the drink in my mouth then light it and see how long I could let it burn before having to drink it

You reminded me actually beans - we used to light them in our mouths too! It was pain free. I guess lighting liquid in your mouth is different to throwing blazing liquid at your face.
