NDA has been lifted..
Ill sort some screenies out when i can.
Sorc is now lvl 32 and really enjoyed all of it.
Crafting system is nice as you use your companions to do it for you
ive now got 3 companions 1 i use as a tank the other 2 sit about and do crafting/crew missions all the time. Youre allowed 1 crafting skill and 2 mission skills. I have Artifice as craft and archeology and treasure hunting as they bring in mats used in Artifice. You learn green recipes from your trainer and craft these as you normally would to gain skill up. However you then reverse engineer these to get some mats back and also for a chance to unlock the next level recipe for that item. EG Green Power Crystal RE's to learn the Blue Power Crystal recipe that has better stats, then RE the blue to learn the purple and so on. Well worth doing especially for the weapon and armour addons.
A lot of weapons and armour can be purchased with no stats but have 3/4 empty addon slots (This is were the blue/epic items you can craft come in handy) So in theory if you get a piece of armour that allows this early on you can continue to wear this and make it viable for your level simply by sticking in the higher level addons for your level so the stats match what youll be looting.
Questing is fun with every quest you get being story/voice acting driven which means you get more into the questing as opposed to opening a text box and selcting accept coz you cant be arsed to read it. Every choice you make within the quests has a bearing on its outcome whether its a good or bad choice. Some give you the option of gaining light or darkside points (Dont stay neutral) most of the armour and weapons require higher levels of either light or dark. (My Sorc is currently Dark 3 as she kills her quest givers when the option arises) The other thing youll level as you quest is your social status and this is done by questing in groups. Dont worry if you level on your own as every flashpoint (dungeon) has quest/story progression in it and youll soon get the points rolling in. Social skill is again required to purchase some of the higher end gear.
Vehicles enter the game at level 25 and youll need 40k credits for the riding skill 1 and then a further 9k credits for the speeder, theres around 6 to choose from to start with. They do make getting about in the 25+ zones a lot quicker and easier as the zones start to open out more. Getting the credits doesnt take long, I would of had mine a lot quicker if i hadnt accidentally purchased a light saber i was looking at for 20k
but i soon got enough in about 1/2 a day.
Some of the voice acting is a bit iffy (not much of an issue though). Some vendors sound like Simon Cowell, which is amusing, and since ive got a new metal full head covering headgear my character has started sounding like Anne Robinson.
If you guys have any questions about the game let me know and ill try and answer them for you.
All the playtime ive had so far has just made me want the game to be released NOW..
