Since I'll be getting a bit more free time the next couple of months, I was wondering if this is better than DAOC ?
soloing doable?
or do you see yourselves giving up next month because its too boring/frustrating?

also any nice sites to read up so i wont be a total dick asking questions every 5 secs?

I solo a heck of a lot of the time, but then I'm a Shaman so I can without too many worries, if you want to do instances though you'll need to group as they're usually reet 'ard.
As for sites balls to 'em, the game is pretty easy to pick up, the manual is huge if you're into that stuff, then there's thottbot if you get stuck.

I disliked DaoC too n3m, but this is teh win. Into my second month now and the game looks like its gonna have a lot of longevity.

Soloing is pretty much easy dependingon the class you choose. It took me 3 rerolls to find that out :>

And the basic game mechanics are pretty much the same as MMOs, so you shouldn't need to ask too many noobish questions. And it does guide you along for a while.

Agreeing with Beans and Delts. Really intuitive gameplay/interface.

The game feels like the developpers have been browsing MMO forums for years, took all the gripes and complaints and came up with decent solutions. Biggest complaint of the game so far is that groups are limited to 5 members only. But apparently raids can overcome that problem.

1 bit of warning tho, u have to get used to the gfx. Especially after playing CS with very realistic gameplay this can be a bit cartoony and getting used to. But they grow on you quite easily.

BTW, the game is sold out till mid april i think

I cancelled it.

Even tho i have more than enough time the upcoming months (because of the hassle of getting a work permit) i just think, for me, it was a good blast for two months.

Nothing more.

Good game, nice content but not the thing i can play for months and months.

Have fun n3m, it's a cool game.

im moving on saturday, so wont have internet for at least a week or so, if i get cable and i can finally reformat my pc (eheheh 3 and a half years without reformat!) and you're all still playing it, then Maybe and I mean Maybe I might give it a bash!
If its only £10 more than the new swg expansion i see this as a better option
